According to Sri Amma Bhagavan, the highest spiritual state is the state of service.  This realization is consistent with messages from the Bible and from African proverbs.

There are many ways to be of service. Many are concerned and serving under-resourced communities, the homeless, the incarcerated, immigrants, those in war-torn areas, animals, the environment, to name a few.  All are important and worthwhile pursuits.  It is not enough to simply seek knowledge or wisdom for ourselves, eliminating our own suffering or quieting our fears.  

I have chosen to serve by focusing on consciousness recognizing that everything starts there. In deep gratitude for all the ways I have been saved from myself, delivered from suffering, I choose to share meditation and wisdom teachings with others.
